The breakfast was superb, cooked to order, and really set the tone for the day! The cozy bar was perfect for winding down, and so nice to park right outside the door. The local eats like Forteys hit the spot too!
The aircraft noise from East Midlands airport was a bit much, especially with no air con and having to leave the window open. A touch of double glazing and room upgrades would do wonders!

The location was lovely and central, ideal for exploring nearby attractions. The service at breakfast felt too rigid, having to order the night before limited spontaneity, especially with a young family. Bigger towels would enhance the overall experience, as the current ones were rather small. The homemade breakfast was good and well-prepared were good.

Cozy stay with superb breakfast
I had a lovely night in a quaint cottage-style room that offered a cozy atmosphere and direct access to parking. The staff were friendly. Breakfast was freshly prepared, with a variety of delicious options that set me up perfectly for my day ahead. My only suggestion would be to improve the TV signal in the room, as it was a bit patchy.

Convenient stay with friendly host
Great spot for our 2-night stay near a wedding. The breakfast was simple but hit the spot, although we forgot to mention our dairy allergy. The hotel host was super helpful, always around when we needed something. Just wish the shower room was a bit bigger. It felt a bit cramped for two people.

A Cozy Stay with Character
We enjoyed our two-night getaway in this charming old public house. The low beams added character, and the dog-friendly atmosphere was a plus for us. Dining on the terrace was good on a sunny afternoon. Just a tip, check if amenities are working before settling in.

It was a great fit for a weekend stopover in Melbourne (Derbyshire) with excellent value for money. The bed was comfortable, and the clean linen was a nice touch. If you're sensitive to noise, bring earplugs to drown out the late-night sounds from nearby traffic.
